snow can’t stop a thrift store run

My today… Well it was just a today.  I was super de duper grumpy today.  I haven’t been feeling well over the last week and had run a slight fever which produced three lovely fever blisters right inside my mouth.  The pain is awfulsauce.  Being a bariatric patient the things I can eat are limited anyways right now I can’t eat hardly anything without my mouth stinging like it is on fire.  GRRR.  But anyways.. So I needed a little thrifting therapy so I made a Goodwill run in the middle of a pretty heavy snow I stopped and tried hard to take an interesting picture of how pretty it was.  The heavy snow falling itself always seems to calm me down.  My favorite day would be one snuggled on my couch next to the big window with white fluffy snow falling all day.  AHH yes.  Here is my attempt at my snow pic

Yeah not so amazing but it was sure pretty.  So anyways I scored at the Goodwill.  I have found I am becoming quite a competitive thrifter.  When I roll into the parking lot my heart automatically starts beating faster if I notice lots of cars.  It’s like I feel like I have to beat people inside to get the good stuff before they do.  Which is really so silly on my part especially when I hit the store at 7:30 at night and people have been shopping there all day.  Nevertheless I get out of the car and jog in pretending I am joggin because it’s cold and snowy out of course.  I grab my cart and make my rounds.  My favorite Goodwill I have to say is getting pretty shopped these days but I still found goodies.  Like this

There are two things in my home that you will find everywhere, blankets and baskets.  Why would someone need so many baskets and blankets you say… one answer “Newborn Babies”  I am a blanket and basket hoarder.  There I have confessed it.  I can’t wait to stick a cutie patootie newborn in this.  I also found this ugly thing that will be super cute after his silver makeover .

Never underestimate ugly plastic fake bamboo mirrors.  The are super cutiful once fixed up a bit.  I also scored some super duper cute outfits I will share those later.  They are washing and drying right now.  So that was how I ended the day.  Before that I was working on soooo many projects, editing, wedding contracts, my shoots for tomorrow, my new senior magazine, my new newborn portraits guide, returning emails, messages etc, getting together our taxes, and oh yeah I took a nap. Lastly I got a new light from a local camera shop.  Now I am a natural light photographer so I don’t use studio lighting too much.  But this was just a lovely new bulb you can buy and just screw into any lamp that mimics daylight.  Caleb helped me try it out doesn’t he look so happy about it.  I think his expression here totally says “being a photographers kid rocks” don’t you.
